Hey Everyone!

With everything going on in the world, I felt it was important to take a break from the norm of my site and just acknowledge what is going on right now. The COVID-19 crisis has taken all of our worlds and turned it upside down. Everything is completely different then our regular day to day. So I just wanted to ask.... How are you doing? How are you taking care of yourself? How are you coping?

For me, I wasn't coping so good at first. I need human connection. I need to keep myself busy. So being stuck in the house was driving me insane. After about a week I was already pulling my hair out. As time went on I gradually had to begin to accept this new normal. Now we're at a little over a month and I'm just in disbelief that it has lasted this long. I live in NY state, currently the worst state for COVID cases. My family is huge and scattered all throughout the state of NY so the idea of someone I love, falling ill because of this virus is a major concern. My family is pretty close, so being unable to see them out of fear of spreading the virus is tough, especially because some of the people I'm closest too, are the ones the most at risk. Social distancing has been pretty rough.

I have two jobs. Job 1, which I like to call my "Big Girl Job" is still in effect. We are all just working from home at this time. This is great because unlike many I am still able to get a paycheck and work. However, the work is completely different then what I signed up for. Most importantly I really miss my coworkers, my clients, and my office. I don't think I've ever missed getting dressed at 6am, driving in morning traffic, and waiting in line for my morning cup of tea so much. Job #2 which is at a restaurant, has been put on pause after the mandatory restaurant shutdown. My restaurant focuses on the experience so doing to go orders just would not be beneficial. Losing that extra income kind of sucks and working from home is tougher than I thought it would be.

So yea.... and then there's all the added stress of this idea, that we should all be super productive during this time. Creating, planning, and manifesting. While in theory yea great idea! However, that is so much easier said then done. For many of us, this feeling of the unknown is daunting and discouraging. You sit and make lists of all the things you should get done and achieve and then get frustrated and disappointed when you don't achieve it. I'm here to say don't feel compelled by all these idealistic visions of what you should be doing. Move at your own pace and focus on what you feel is best and maintaining your sanity.

Everyone's pandemic experience is different. Some of us are experiencing a time of panic and uncertainty. Some of us are thankful for this much needed break. Some of us are suffering due to the virus itself, or the emotional strains that we are facing from it. For some of us our worlds got much more chaotic and stressful. However, one thing that we all have in common is that our worlds have changed. So I ask that in this time we all take a minute to be compassionate, understanding, and kind to one another.

Sending love and positivity to all you amazing people. Hopefully normality is only a short moment away.
